F for Flower

Did you notice the flower this morning?

It was right there. Down there, in between the sidewalk and the road, it was. Tiny. Yellow with bright green leaves. Against all odds. It was right there. Fighting to breathe. Fighting for a life between the cars, bicycles and people. Struggling to grow and get tall, bright and shiny.

And then maybe someone would stop up one day and smile and say:

- Look at that flower. How can it live in these surroundings? It is so beautiful though. Maybe I will pick it and take it home?

- Or...

- Maybe I should leave it here, for someone else to stop, notice it, admire it and feel an instant happy moment. Because of it?

And maybe you will also think: if that flower can manage, then so can I!

Take the time to notice the flowers in your life. Take that moment. Notice. See. Feel. Smile.

Do you take the time to notice? Please share.

  2. Beautiful pictures. And yes, it is important to take some time off from our hectic life and stop to appreciate the flowers and all other fine things in life.

  6. I am sometimes surprised by flowers that grow on the sand. I mean it has nothing yet they bloom. Beautiful analogy :)

  10. How true that we need to "stop and smell the roses" or similarly notice and admire the flowers and nature in general! ;) I love flowers and readily notice them everywhere, often stopping to smell them and/or to take photos! <3
