Run run run away, run if you can't stay
run till every fiber begs for mercy
run run run like mad
run till you kick the bad -
- far away where it belongs
not with you
let your legs go wild, jump high like a child
feel the power coming - oh you're alive
run run run so far, run till you see the star
just there above your head, it shines so brightly
run up the hill so steep, run down the valley deep
run till your breath goes mad and you don't feel sad
run like a horse so free, run like a summer bee
run like a bird on wings who fly off up there
Run run run my friend, don't stop till the end........
- then lay down on the green grass, feel the Rain on your face, Relax. Feel happy and Rich
Life is good.
Does running make you happy too? Please share.

Nice post, yes we all need to keep moving; Now I don't run but yes running used to make me happy; there was so much fun, laughter and joy ...I like the last sentence lay down on the grass, feel the rain on your face and relax... Life is good.. thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, always appreciate you kind words:-)
DeleteRunning sometimes helps to clear the thoughts. I do it when I am extremely frustrated! Nice poem Eli :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Swathi:-)
DeleteAnother lovely poem.
ReplyDeleteI don't run because it makes me feel good, I run because not running makes me feel crappy. I think there's an important distinction.
I don't run at this point but I do keep moving and for the same reason C.D. mentioned above - I feel awful when I don't.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting Kristin:-)
DeleteRunning relaxes me and makes me feel good just like your post did :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Sulekha:-)
DeleteWalking/Running helps me clear my head and feel refreshed. Loved the quote at the end.

ReplyDeleteYay! Happy to see you here:-)
DeleteI represented my school at cross country running many years ago, but now I'm addicted to hill walking and mountain trekking. Each to his or her own!
ReplyDeleteThats great:-) Thanks for visiting:-)
DeleteI can almost feel the breeze on my face! ☺ Loved the poem, Eli. Unfortunately, old injuries to my right leg prevent me from running, but, it's a nice thought. Conveys a sense of freedom.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much dear Debbie:-)
DeleteDearest Eli,
ReplyDeleteNo, I've never been a runner, a walker for an hour or more; no problem though. Blessed with happy feet and legs; no problems whatsoever.
Hugs,
Mariette
Thank you so much dear Mariette, always so happy to see you here:-)
DeleteI have heard of runner's high and the freedom that running brings. However, I don't consider myself a runner at all. My preference is to walk briskly, even power walking sometimes or dancing! A different kind of freedom perhaps but not the same! ;) <3
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing Elly:-) Always happy to see you here
DeleteNever been fond of running. Not even as a kid. But I love walking. Especially in the mornings when the sun is just rising. And I agree, it just makes you feel happy all over for no particular reason. You feel lik you can do anything in the world!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Thanks for sharing:-)
DeleteI am not a runner, but walking makes me happy :)
ReplyDeleteThats great Rhonda:-)
