B for Bird

It is a lovely day. Early spring. The air is crisp and fresh and the sky is blue with just small white clouds drifting around. You go for a walk. Up the green hill, in the bright forest where even down in between tall trees the sun finds you.

You reach a green open field and decide to take a break. You lie down on your back and close your eyes. Your hands grasp the grass, and you feel the warmth of the sun on your face. On all your body. You take deep breaths. In and out. In and out. It is quiet. So quiet.

All you can hear are the birds. You open your eyes and high up there towards the blue blue sky, you see them fly off. Opening their wings. And you sigh. The feeling of freedom. Wellness. The sense of just being in that moment right here. Right now.

You see the wings moving. You feel free. Like the birds. The feeling of flying off if you want to, fly off with strong independent wings to distant shores. Just because you can. Just because you are free.

And at that moment you feel as happy as you can be. As happy as you can ever be. Happy.
