Did you notice the flower this morning?
It was right there. Down there, in between the sidewalk and the road, it was. Tiny. Yellow with bright green leaves. Against all odds. It was right there. Fighting to breathe. Fighting for a life between the cars, bicycles and people. Struggling to grow and get tall, bright and shiny.
And then maybe someone would stop up one day and smile and say:
- Look at that flower. How can it live in these surroundings? It is so beautiful though. Maybe I will pick it and take it home?
- Or...
- Maybe I should leave it here, for someone else to stop, notice it, admire it and feel an instant happy moment. Because of it?
And maybe you will also think: if that flower can manage, then so can I!
Take the time to notice the flowers in your life. Take that moment. Notice. See. Feel. Smile.
Do you take the time to notice? Please share.
